Maynard James Keenan

I was Born April 17th, 1964 in Akron, Ohio.

Birthplace of Chrissie Hynde, Jim Jarmusch, and the fellas in Devo. Later moved to Mason County Michigan to outrun the fundamentalist madness.

West Michigan was where the seeds of Art and Utility were first watered and germinated. Here is where the first words were put to paper and where my teachers and mentors first heard and acknowledged my potentially unique voice.

Ground Zero for what would become a life of Storytelling and Song.
